What is a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL)?
The PAL is a document that is part of a system where provinces confirm the international students assigned to each institution. Now, students must obtain both an acceptance letter and a “PAL” from the province or territory where their educational institution is located before they can apply for their study permits. 🎓🌍
PAL Validity: Until December 31, 2025. 📅
Reapplication for Study Permit: If your application is rejected, you will need a new PAL to reapply. 🔄
New Requirements:
Master’s and Bachelor’s students now also require a PAL. 🎓📜
Study Permit Extensions:
If changing schools (DLI): A new PAL is required. 🏫
If staying at the same school (DLI) and same level of studies: A new PAL is not required. ✅
